The HBF Stadium, which is also known as the Perth Superdrome, is a sports complex located in Perth, in the suburb of Mount Claremont, which is only 8km west of Perth’s central business district. HBF received the naming rights of the venue in 2014, after it formed a sponsorship deal with the HBF Health Fund. The venue hosts regular exhibitions and expos, as well as international and national artists, having welcomed the likes of the Strokes, Westlife, P!nk, Craig David, Evanescence, Fall Out Boy, Paul Weller, Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Gulding and many more incredible artists.
Known for its Olympic-standard aquatic centre, the Perth Superdrome features five pools, a diving tower, a gymnasium and several basketball courts. The HBF Stadium also hosts national and international sporting events such as netball and basketball. It has become an important venue in Perth’s cultural, sports and music scene.
In the main indoor arena, the HBF Stadium in Perth can seat 4,500 spectators if the stadium is adapted into a mainly seating arena. If the HBF Stadium indoor arena included a standing room, it can seat up to 5,000 people. Depending on the event, the HBF Stadium can either adapt to standing or seating.

There is access to all parts of the arena in the HBF Stadium, including ramps and different parts of the venue. If you are entering the pool, there is a disabled hoist available for pool access.

The HBF Stadium was originally built between 1987-1989 and was the venue for the Perth Wildcats who are part of the National Basketball League (NBL). The Wildcats played in four NBL Grand Final series at the stadium in 1987 and then with the championship in 2009/10. The venue was nicknamed ‘The Jungle’ during the Wildcats games and the final game at the stadium was their 87-88 win over the New Zealand Breakers in the second game. In 1991 and 1998, the aquatic centre hosted the FINA World Aquatics Championships.
In 2008, the stadium hosted the West Coast Fever, who play in the National Netball League and the stadium was known as the Cauldron. The WAIS High Performance Service Centre began construction in 2013 which features a range of sports facilities.
From the 2000s decade, the Perth Superdrome has hosted a range of artists. For example in 2003, it hosted Craig David and Cold Chisel, in 2004 P!nk, 2005 Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan and Kelly Clarkson. Other acts include Status Quo & Deep Purple, Wolfmother, the Strokes, INXS, Westlife, Rogue Traders, LIve. In the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 the HBF Stadium hosted Evanescence, Westlife, P!nk, Human Nature, Maryln Manson, Panic! At the Disco and many more. The 2010s decade hosted a really impressive variety of artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Mika, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, Paramore, the Wombats, the Smashing Pumpkins, Timm Mincon, X Factor Live, Flume, Bastille, J Cole and many other artists.
