The Crown Theatre features a magnificent two-tiered auditorium which can seat up to 2,300 people. It is divided into the Lounge which is the downstairs area of the auditorium and the Dress Circle which is the balcony area.
The theatre does not always have seating available in the Dress Circle and the standard layout in the auditorium includes a central aisle as well as two side aisles.

Most of the seats in the theatre must be accessed using steps/stairs. It is recommended to review the seating map before the performance and please call if you have any problems in finding accessible seating, as the Crown Theatre may not be able to change it on the day of the performance.
Hearing Loop
There is a hearing loop which is incorporated in specific sections of the Lounge seating area. However, we recommend that to select hearing, please sit as close to the main aisle in order to enjoy the full theatrical experience.
The Crown Perth, which was previously known as the Burswood Island Casino, is a resort and casino which is made up of 32 restaurants, a nightclub, three hotels, a casino and other recreational facilities such as the theatre. The multiplex began construction in 1985 and its opening date was the 30th December 1985. However, parts of it were still under construction in 1986 and 1987, with expansion in the 1990s. The Crown theatre auditorium itself was built in 1985.
Since its inception, the Crown Theatre has hosted a range of world-class, international shows and musicals including the likes of The Boy From Oz, Legally Blonde the Musical, The Book of Mormon, the Lion King, Disney’s Aladdin the Musical, WICKED and Mary Poppins.
