About

Mother Mother is an indie rock band from Canada known for blending different genres of music and integrating unique vocals along with thought-provoking lyrics.

The band formed in 2005 lead by the vocalist and guitarist Ryan Guldemond and his sister Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys). Soon, the band expanded with the addition of Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat at the drums and Mike Young as the bassist.

This distinct lineup makes Mother Mother's repertoire one with layered instrumentation and thought-out tracks, characterised by a mix of rock, pop, and alternative influences with quirky arrangements with light and dark lyrical themes that tackle topics like mental health, existentialism, social critique and more.

Their eairly albums like O My Heart (2008) gained them a fandom, especially through songs like Hayloft, whose sequel single Hayloft II in 2022 brought them new global praise. 

Their striking music videos and captivating live performances make Mother Mother one of Canada's most beloved alternative bands, so be sure to not miss out one of their concerts!
