This story of vanished glory follows Norma Desmond in her quest to fulfil her interrupted dreams as she encounters Hollywood screenwriter Joe Gillis. The pair results in a passionate relationship that will lead to an unexpected outcome.
Sarah Brightman, the world’s best-selling soprano, returns to theatres as Norma after three decades, alongside Tim Draxl portraying Joe Gillis, Robert Grubb as Max Von Mayerling, Ashleigh Rubenach as Betty Schaefer, and Silvie Paladino as Norma Desmond for some of the performances.
Joined by magnificent set designs and costumes that transport you back to the Golden Age of Hollywood, this new production is wrapped by Webber’s score featuring classics like ‘With One Look’, ‘The Perfect Year’, and ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’. Plot
The silent film star Norma Desmond yearns for her return to the big screen once the industry has turned to the "talkies". When she meets Joe Gillis, a Hollywood screenwriter who can't seem to sell his scripts, the pair will result in a tumultuous relationship with a disasterous ending. Norma Desmond decays on her Los Angeles' mansion, but she will convince Gillis to help her make a comeback as the film star that she once was.

- Ferry: taking a six-minute walk to Circular Quay.
- Car park: there is a car park available which is owned by Wilson Parking and is located at 2 Macquarie Street. This car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and has undercover access to the Sydney Opera House Lower Concourse.
