Kaleo is an Icelandic rock band whose soulful blend of blues, folk, and rock has earned them global recognition.
The band, which consists of childhood friends Jökull "JJ" Júlíusson -lead vocalist and guitarist-, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, drummer David Antonsson, and guitarist Rubin Pollock, rose to fame thanks to their successful track Way Down We Go (2016), featured in their debut album A/B. The song reached such an audience thar it became number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
The Grammy-nominated band has continued to put out creative albums that showcase their versatile music style, which has led them to perform at a number of recognised festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, even opening for the Rolling Stones. This way, their unique genre-defying sound has solidified them a place in the contemporary music scene.
