The band has toured hundreds of cities throught its career, as with the A Rush of Blood to the Head Tour, the Mylo Xyloto Tour, the Twisted Logic Tour, the Latin American Tour 2007, the Viva la Vida Tour and the A Head Full of Dreams Tour.

The band Coldplay formed in 1997 when Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland met during their first week at University College London. They began writing songs together with Guy Berryman soon joining the band, initially named 'Big Fat Noises'.
In 1998, Will Champion joined the lineup, and they performed their first gig as the band 'Starfish' in Camden to then adopt the definitive name 'Coldplay'.
The band’s first EP, Safety, was self-funded and released in 1998, and they played at the Glastonbury Festival after signing with Fierce Panda Records and then Parlophone. Their debut and beloved album Parachutes released in 2000, featuring the hit single Yellow, which brought Coldplay international success.
Following Parachutes, Coldplay released The Scientist, and in 2005, they released X&Y, followed by Viva la Vida in 2008, achieving worldwide acclaim.
In 2014 Coldplay released Ghost Stories, which received a mixed response although it topped charts worldwide, including the acclaimed singles Magic and A Sky Full of Stars.
Shortly after, Coldplay embarked on their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams as a colorful and uplifting project, which included anticipated collaborations and was followed by a major world tour. To this day, Coldplay has also made history with their Music Of The Spheres World Tour the biggest rock tour of all time as of 2024, which began in 2022.
