Having welcomed a range of cutting-edge classic musicians as well as contemporary artists, Perth Concert Hall puts Perth on the map in terms of culture and music. Having welcomed the likes of classic ensembles such as Ray Charles, PJ Harvey, Nina Simon, Sting, Tim Minchin, KD Lang and many other artists. The venue is also home to the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) and regularly hosts incredible artists.
Known for its brutalist mid-century classic architecture, Perth Concert Hall has an exterior which is characterised by an innovative white off-form concrete. The building was recognised at the 2016 Australian institute of Architects National Awards and was given the ‘Enduring Architecture Award’. Since then, the building has undergone several renovations and improvements, boasting upgrades to the auditorium and facade lighting, whilst preserving its winding staircase and interior featuring an exquisite red carpet.
The auditorium seats 1,729 people and about 160 choir stall seats. In the Upper Gallery, Perth Concert Hall seats 354 in the Upper Gallery, 260 in the Lower Gallery and then 1117 seats in the Stalls. The Perth C also houses a 3,000 pipe organ. In the Upper Gallery.
The Main stage of the auditorium can also be constructed into a 3-tired gala ballroom for events and functions if you wish you hire the auditorium.

Perth Concert Hall was built by architects Jeffy Howlett and Don Bailey and was the first concert Hall to be built in Australia after World War II. Its doors opened to the public on Australia Day in 1973 and the construction was carried out by Sabemo (WA). The opening of the Perth Music Hall included a ball which was attended by 1,700 people and the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra which was joined by 55 members.
While the auditorium was originally built for classic ensembles and as the home to the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the Perth Concert Hall hosts a diverse range of performances and shows. In 2015, the West Australian Symphony Orchestera became the new manager of the hall.
