The tharsh metal band Testament arrives to Australia hailing from California. The band was formed in 1983, and has been praised as one of the most renowned and influential thrash metal bands of all time alongside the big four Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
Comprised by guitarist Eric Peterson, lead vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio, and drummer Chris Dovas, the lineup has changed throughout time. Their third album, Practice What You Preach (1989), meant a great step forward for the band, reaching the Billboard 200. Then, their 1990 Souls of Black, and 1992 The Ritual were even more successful.
Having sold over 14 million album copies worldwide, Testament remains a huge influence for the thrash metal music scene, considered as one of the lead band of the genre's second wave.
