Inspired by the legendary Coney Island’s Luna Park which opened in 1903, Sydney’s Luna Park opened its doors in 1935 and has been enthralling customers from all over the world ever since!

Located in central Sydney, Luna Park is one of the oldest amusement parks in all of Australia, known by its beautiful, 1930s Art Deco architecture. With an incredible array of rides to offer, including Volare, Wild Mouse, Tango Train, Devil’s Drop, Spider, the park offers adrenaline and fun to people from all ages. But it does not stop there, because the park also offers some impressive events and experiencies such as the Dream Circus, that uses the newest technology to create an immersive experience that will not be forgotten.

Volare

Take in spectacular views of Sydney harbour as you dreamily swing round and round on Sydney’s Volare, a magical, exhilarating ride suitable for all ages, Volare can be enjoyed by the entire family!  

Hair Raiser

Do you dare ride the Hair Raiser? Undoubtedly a ride for the thrill seekers, the Hair Raiser will plunge you down an immense 80 drop after enjoying spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. Hold onto your tummies, because this is going to be a stomach-lurching, hair-raising experience!  

Tango Train

All aboard the tango train- A ride which is just as energetic and colourful as the dance itself! Twist and turn on this unique and fun-filled ride!  

Ferris Wheel

Take breathtaking views of Sydney as you steadily circulate around the Ferris Wheel - one of Luna Park’s most iconic rides!  

Wild Mouse

Scuttle, dip and squeak on the Wild Mouse - an exhilarating journey of fun and adventure, the Wild Mouse reaches incredible speeds and has been crowned Australia’s favourite rollercoaster!

Whirly Wheel

Smaller than the mighty ferris wheel, Whirly Wheel is a ride for the little ones - slowly whirling round the little riders whilst they can wave to the family down below.

How to Get There

The Luna Park Sydney address is 1 Olympic Dr, Milsons Point NSW 2061, Australia

  •  Ferry: you can take the ferry to the stop Milsons Point Wharf, which is situated opposite Luna Park. Please check the transport NSW timetables for more information. You can also take the Captain Cook Cruises which have ferries from CIrcular Cook Cruises which operate from Circular Quay on a 24 Hour Hop On Hop Off Harbour Explorer. 
  • Train: the nearest train station to Luna Park is Milsons Point Station, which is the first stop after Wynyard Station. This stop can be found on the T1 North Shore & Western Line’ and the ‘T9 Northern Line’. 
  • Bus: there are several bus routes which pass by Sydney North Station and finish at Milsons Point.  
  • Car: Luna Park has its own car park consisting of 389 spaces. You can access the station via Paul Street which is just off Milsons Point. Here are the car park rates:

2-3 hours $30

    Excellent Luna Park is a classic theme park. I love it as its different to the usual commercial stuff. This place has got character.
