Meet these cute, cuddly creatures hanging out in the trees or in the koala nursery and take a picture to capture the moment! Discover the enchanting nature of these iconic bears with their fluffy ears and endearing personalities. Unique to Australia, these lovable creatures can often be spotted lounging in the crook of a tree or indulging in eucalyptus leaves.
Paradise Country features two kangaroo species and one wallaby species in nearly one acre of habitat at the park center. Explore the Wildlife Walk to encounter these macropods in their bushy surroundings. Kangaroos have large tails for balance, are herbivores, and rear joeys in their pouches. Red kangaroos can reach over 2 meters tall and 90 kilograms. Wallabies, smaller and weighing 2-24 kilograms, typically display fur with 2-3 hues.
As opposed to the iconic cartoon, Tasmanian devils are curious creatures which are also the largest living carnivorous marsupials in the world and are certainly worth getting to know at Paradise Country. Learn fascinating facts about them, like how they consume up to 40% of their body weight daily, that newborns are tiny as rice grains, and that their powerful jaws rival the strength of metal.
Witness Australia’s formidable predator, the Dingo, at Paradise Country. Observe its natural habitat designed for comfort, offering guests a close encounter with this native mammal. Dingoes, resembling dogs but distinct with their howling, communicate across vast distances. Ranging in size and color, they inhabit most of Australia’s regions, excluding Tasmania.
Discover the incredible wombats, renowned for its expert digging and burrowing skills. They excel in excavating homes, outpacing human diggers, and thriving in solitary lives. Paradise Country hosts the three wombat species, including the endangered Northern hairy-nose wombat, with their surprising agility and vegetarian diet.
At Paradise Country, an endearing Meerkat family resides in their permanent abode. Native to African grasslands and deserts, these sociable creatures live in burrows, crafted with their sharp claws. A 'mob', 'gang', or 'clan' typically consists of 20 to 50 meerkats.
