The Gardens

Maleny Botanic Gardens is a unique garden that covers more than 23 acres. It overlooks a backdrop of the iconic Glass House Mountains and it is surrounded by an impressive rainforest. Visitors will have over 8 kilometers of walking paths to meander around thousands of different plants, ranging from roses, azaleas, annuals, and orchids placed throughout the Gardens, to some of the rarest cycads in the world. All of which are complemented by numerous lakes and waterfalls – providing great options to take pictures.

Bird World

With more than 600 native and exotic birds from around the world, Maleny Botanic has one an incredible offer that will surely impress visitors. You can take part on a walk-through, interactive guided tour, where they will get up close and personal with the birds while one of their caretakers tells you all about them

Farm Friends

Maleny Botanic Gardens farm shed is home to to a huge number of farm species, including guinea pigs, rabbits, Mediterranean miniature micro donkeys, miniature goats, baby-doll sheep, miniature pigs and lots of chicken and roosters! You can interact with them at certain times during the day, and you will even be able to feed them!

The best option to get there is using your car: you can drive an hour’s drive north of Brisbane, take exit Steve Erwin’s off the Bruce Highway.

Open 7 days a week 364 days a year. The park is only closed on Christmas Day
