This VIP experience shows you through the behind-the-scenes workings of the Cairns Aquarium, where you will be able to feed some species, and get explanations on all the equipment and conservation work the aquarium does.

How to Get There

You can easily get to the heart of Cairns by walking, biking, driving or by bus. The Cairns Aquarium address is: 5 Florence St Cairns, Queensland, 4870 Australia

  • Walk: Cairns Aquarium is one block away from the Esplanade, two blocks from the Lagoon Pool and a 5 minute walk away from the Cruise Terminal. 
  • Drive: there is not a car park onsite at the Cairns Aquarium, but you can park on surrounding streets which have hourly and daily fees which may apply to metered parking.  
  • Bus: if you are taking a bus, you can take the bus from Abbott Street which is just outside the Aquarium. Given that the aquarium is so central, you can take several different buses to the aquarium.

The aquarium is fully accessible facility with elevators, ramps, accessible bathrooms and welcome accredited Guide/Service Dogs. Wheelchairs are also available, please ask on arrival and they will be facilitated.
